About Writers of the Future
Writers of the Future is a prestigious, international writing contest and workshop series dedicated to discovering and nurturing new voices in science fiction and fantasy. It was founded in 1983 by author L. Ron Hubbard, and has since become one of the most respected platforms for launching professional writing careers in speculative fiction.
Over the years, thousands of writers have gained their first professional credit through the contest.
Alumni include Patrick Rothfuss, Ken Liu, Eric Flint, and many others who went on to achieve significant success.
The contest has a global reach, with entries from more than 150 countries.
